Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wood Tiered Jubako 

This is a vintage Japanese wooden lacquered lidded box called jubako. It is rectangular and has two-tiers with a flat bracket lid, brushed with a rich reddish brown lacquer. It has a simple design overall with no added details. This box can hold a variety of things from family-size bento meals and New Years osechi to general storage for letters, documents, etc.

• Good condition considering its age. Scratches and small chips on edges/corners. Lacquer on inside edges and corners has peeled away over time exposing the stained wood beneath. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
