Japanese Wooden Lacquered Set of Chopsticks w/Wood Box

This is a Japanese vintage lacquered wooden set of chopsticks. This set is Wakasa style lacquer in red and black respectively with gold accents. The main feature, however, is the slices of raden (mother-of-pearl/abalone) shell embellishments set into the upper parts. 
Traditionally, the long chopsticks are for men, and the short chopsticks are for women. These chopsticks are called Meotozen. It is ideal for wedding anniversaries and couple’s celebrations. It comes with the original wooden gift box.
