Vtg Japanese Lacquered Wooden Toothpick Case

This is a Japanese vintage toothpick holder, or yojiire. It is a small, Shunkei-nuri lacquered and lidded bamboo box in a caramel brown and reddish-brown lacquer color. It can hold toothpicks, kashikiri (small cutting utensils for tea ceremony wagashi), small trinkets, etc.
