Vintage Japanese Porcelain Sake Cup

This is a vintage Japanese Kutani porcelain sake cup. This particular type of cup is called tsubomi or “bud type” due to its resemblance to a flower bud. In terms of size, it is also called ochoko. This beautiful imari sake cup is fully decorated with precise gold linework on a red inner rim. The entire design features a temple set behind a mountain. The outside edge is a simplistic sometsuke blue and white design of the same motif. It has the Kutani marking on the bottom.
