Vintage Japanese Porcelain Sake Cup

This is a vintage Japanese Kutani porcelain sake cup. This particular type of cup is called wan or “bowl type” due to its resemblance to a rice bowl. In terms of size, it is also called guinomi. This beautiful imari sake cup is beige and features a gorgeous colorful image of two birds and peony flowers with gold accents. It has a red Kutani marking on the bottom.
