Japanese Vintage Porcelain Sake Cup

This is a vintage Japanese Kutani porcelain sake cup. This particular type of cup is called rappa or “trumpet type” due to its resemblance to the bell of a trumpet. In terms of size, it is also called ochoko. It features a gorgeous peachy pink cherry blossom (sakura) design on the inside with a simplistic temple image at the very bottom. The border around the rim is a triangular pattern with the actual rim being painted gold. The outside has a continuation of the triangular pattern in a stark indigo blue on white.
