Antique Japanese Metal Drawer Lock

This is an antique Japanese metal lock. This piece of decorative hardware is used on drawers typically found on tansu chests and lockboxes. The base is made of iron while the decorations, knob, and border are made of other metals. It has a keyhole and a simple mechanism inside that is still functional/moveable. This item does not include a key and is in a “locked” position.

• Good condition considering its age. Rust on back side. Scratches and discoloration. Bracket is broken off. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
