Vtg Japanese Iron Furin Wind Chime

This is a vintage Japanese wind chime called furin. This one is made of iron metal and called tetsurin. This iron bell is made up of three parts. The first is the lantern-like top piece decorated with cut-out crescent moons, followed by a classic bell with a pinecone design, and then lastly a plain white paper amulet that catches the wind and helps the bell ring. The original flat metal ringer inside the bell is missing and at some point replaced with a metal nut. It can be used as a room decoration or an ornament.

• Good condition considering age. Rust throughout (but still structurally sound). Paper amulet stained and needs replacing. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
