Japanese Gold Red Ink Pad Case 

This is a vintage Japanese vermilion ink pad with a lid. This type of ink is used for Hanko or Inkan, the Japanese seals. The metal container is 24 gold plated. The lid has chrysanthemum crest in the middle with leaf design around it. The ink is almost empty. This case comes with a wooden box. There are Kanji on the wooden.
