Vintage Japanese Tool Giant Hand Plane Hira Kanna 

This is a Japanese vintage hand plane tool, hira kanna. It is a woodworking tool made of hardwood and used for smoothing the wood surface. This kanna is uniquely oversized and heavy. It is meant to be stationary and sit atop a table or a pair of sawhorses while passing a wood piece over the top of it. The filed wood falls out the opening in the bottom.
