Vtg Japanese Ceramic Green Tea Bowl

This is a vintage Japanese ceramic green tea bowl or matcha chawan. This pink and light gray bowl is decorated with blue cranes and clouds. There is a big character on the inside: kotobuki, meaning ‘long life’ or ‘congratulations’. There is a sign under the bowl.

Green tea bowls are traditionally used for preparing and drinking green tea during tea ceremonies but can be used in many scenes of modern everyday life.
