Vintage Japanese Folding Fan Sensu

This is a traditional Japanese folding fan called sensu. You can use this when it’s hot or as decoration. This fan is a dark blue on both sides. On one side it has gold kanji characters with furigana for reading and depicts the Heart Sutra, a very popular sutra from Mahayana Buddhism. On the other is small pictograms that help pronunciation and memorization. The frame is natural bamboo.
