Japanese Fire Warning Flag

This is a Japanese vintage fire warning flag. It is written in Japanese as beware of fire (Hino-Yojin). In Japan, on winter nights, when the neighborhood association and others patrol the area. They walk and clap their clappers (Hyoshigi) while shouting, “Beware of fire.”
