Vintage Japanese Fabric Uchiwa Fan

This is a Japanese vintage fabric fan or Uchiwa. Uchiwa is a traditional fan tool typically made of wood or bamboo and paper in a flat paddle-like shape. This particular fan is a classic rounded shape with dark indigo blue fabric that features dotted lines with sailboats. It has a washi paper blue checker border. The back side is made of plain white paper and has a red stamp seal adhered to it. The frame is made of a thin piece of bamboo. It is functional, but also excellent as a decorative piece.
