Vintage Japanese Gifu Lantern W/ Stand

This is a vintage Japanese paper lantern, decorated with printed flowers such as chrysanthemum and morning glory. The background is white. The lantern fits on a 3-legged black resin stand decorated with golden chrysanthemums. Inside the paper lantern is a blue resin sheet with a floral pattern that may spin when the light is on. This type of lantern is usually used as a display during the Obon summer festival. This lantern flattens and is easily stored in the matching box.
