Vintage Japanese Ceramic Tokoname Toothpick Holder

This is a vintage Japanese ceramic toothpick holder, also called youjitate. Crafted from a rich brownish-red clay and glazed the same color for strength, this Tokoname yaki piece is in the shape of a rabbit, one of the zodiac animals. It has subtle details and holds a magic hammer while sitting next to a tree stump. It has an open hole at the top for storing easily accessible toothpicks.
