Vintage Japanese Ceramic Suiban for Ikebana Flower Arrangement w/Box

This is a vintage ceramic Japanese flower vase, or suiban. It is crafted for the Ishida style of ikebana and features a unique fan shape. This suiban is a combination of matte and gloss glazes in light tan/beige and green. It comes with the original paper box.
Suiban means “water tray” and typically houses the spiked weight (kenzan) that hold ikebana flower stems in place, but can also be used as a base for a flower pot, or even a potted bonsai.
