Vintage Japanese Ceramic Suiban for Ikebana Flower Arrangement

This is a vintage ceramic Japanese flower vase, or suiban. The inside is a textured off-white glaze, while the outside is the same texture but with an orange glaze. It has slightly pinched points on the rim.
Suiban means “water tray” and typically houses the spiked weight (kenzan) that holds ikebana flower stems in place, but can also be used as a base for a flower pot, or even a potted bonsai.
