Vintage Japanese Ceramic Suiban for Ikebana Flower Arrangement

This is a vintage ceramic Japanese flower vase, or suiban. Glazed white with a blue and pink line on one side for decoration, this narrow, half-teardrop-shaped suiban vase is a unique addition to any simple ikebana arrangement. 
Suiban means “water tray” and typically houses the spiked weight (kenzan) that hold ikebana flower stems in place, but can also be used as a base for a flower pot, or even a potted bonsai.

• Good condition considering age. Glaze has crackled. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
