Vintage Japanese Small Ceramic Plate

This vintage Japanese small square plate is made of ceramic pottery and has a bumpy, pocked, crackled beige glaze. The overall design features elegant green and red-colored susuki (obana) grass, also known as Japanese pampas grass. This type of plate is called meimeizara and is the perfect size to serve wagashi, traditional Japanese sweets. It also serves as a plate for side dishes in a Japanese meal set.
