Vintage Japanese Small Plate

This vintage Japanese small square plate has a textured white glaze with brown spots. The overall design features a branch of bamboo with leaves. The edges are upturned for extra visual detail. This type of plate is called meimeizara and is the perfect size to serve wagashi, traditional Japanese sweets. It also serves as a plate for side dishes in a Japanese meal set.
