Vintage Japanese Ceramic Rice Bowl

This item is a vintage Japanese ceramic rice bowl. This wide-mouthed small bowl is a matte light brown on the outside bottom and a glossy medium brown glaze on the top and rim. Inside are carved grooves that mimic a traditional suribachi, or grinding bowl. This piece can also be used for side dishes. Rice bowls are made to be lightweight and held in one hand (thumb on rim, other fingers on foot).
