Vintage Japanese Ceramic Katakuchi Bowl

This is a vintage Japanese ceramic mixing bowl with a spout, or katakuchi. This bowl has a yellow glaze on the inside and outside. This bowl has a generous size to it can be used for several purposes. Katakuchi are used for serving matcha green tea and, in some cases, for serving sake or for steamed vegetables. They can also be used for ikebana flower arrangements.
