Antique Japanese Ceramic Bowl

This item is an antique Japanese ceramic bowl made for salads. It is a beautiful example of the kutani imari style of pottery which uses bright, vivid colors often with gold accents and elaborate images of scenery, animals, flowers, etc. This particular bowl features large floral and patterned designs in red, orange, light gold, and green, as well as a sometsuke blue center with a shouchikubai (pine, bamboo, plum) wreath and patterned border.
