Vintage Iron Branding Stamp

This is a vintage cast iron branding stamp called yaki-in. This piece is meant to be placed over fire or coals and is used to mark wood, leather, fabrics, and, most famously, Japanese sweets such as manju. It features a word bubble with kanji characters inside. it has a wooden handle.
