Vintage Japanese Handcarved Tsuge Hair Comb

This is a vintage Japanese hair comb called tsuge or tsugegushi. It is carved traditionally of boxwood and is used for combing, but also cleansing one’s hair. The comb is meant to increase circulation in the scalp, reduce frizz, and distribute natural oils evenly.
