Japanese Calligraphy Brush 3 Pieces Set

This is a vintage Japanese set of three calligraphy brushes (shuji fude). They are made from bamboo or wood and have a plastic cap. There are characters written on each brush’s body. The brushes are stored in a dedicated paper wrapping.

• Some characters on the brushes: 玉泉堂製 made by Kyokusendo 
• Item weight: 25 grams
• Packed weight: 225 grams
• Approx. 29 cm long x 5.5 cm wide x 1 cm tall (each brush without cap approx. 21 cm long)
• Good condition. Ink on the tip of the brushes. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
• Acquired from a friend’s home in Gifu, Japan
