Vintage Japanese Buddhist Altar Butsudan Decorative Parts

This is a vintage Japanese part of a Buddhist altar. It is a very beautiful decorative item crafted from wood. It features a shishi lion dog, a common image in among Buddhist temples, as well as peony flowers (botan). This piece was originally part of a Buddhist home altar (butsudan). It can be used as a spare part, for repair, or decoration.

• Good condition considering age. Two nails sticking  out from bottom. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
• We picked this up from the famous Osu Antique Market in Nagoya, Japan.
