Vtg Japanese Buddhist Senko Incense 

These are vintage Japanese Buddhist o-senko, incense sticks. It contains about two hundred and fifty sticks. The sticks are loose and cased in a paper box. It is made in Hong Kong, but released by a Japanese brand, Nippon Kodo.  
The scent of incense sticks is said to feed and purify the deceased, and the smoke delivers prayers and thoughts to the ancestors and the dead. Incense is also used to purify a space or to change one’s state of mind.
