Vtg Japanese Buddhist Shoko Incense 

This is a vintage Japanese Buddhist incense wood chips bag. The paper bag is unopened and sealed and features a great design on the front with several kanji characters. 

The scent of incense is said to feed and purify the deceased, and the smoke delivers prayers and thoughts to the ancestors and the dead. Incense is also used to purify a space or to change one’s state of mind.
