Japanese Pair Buddhist Altar Fitting Hanging Lantern Butsugu

This is a vintage Japanese Buddhist brass hanging lantern, or rinto, made to be hung in Buddhist altars (butsugu). This brass lantern is gold in color and has minimal design detail. This set features small cups with platform stands likely to hold shallow candles. Rinto is a brass lantern used to light up the inside of a Buddhist altar with candles, and can sometimes be made electric. It is also a beautiful decorative item on its own.
