Japanese Pair of Buddhist Offering Stands  

This is a pair of vintage Buddhist altar fittings called takatsuki (offering high cups). This simple set is made of wood and lacquered in red. When using takatsuki, paper is laid out, and sweets or fruits are placed on it to offer to ancestors. It is set inside or in front of a Buddhist altar.

• Good condition considering its age. Blemishes on surfaces/dark discolorations. Small chips around rim. Wear and tear due to age.  Please see the photos carefully.
