Japanese Buddhist Altar Fitting Incense Stick Holder
This is a resin incense stick holder, senkousashi, for Buddhist altars. It is used to hold long sticks of incense to be burned in front of a butsudan or Buddhist home altar during prayer. This particular container is black and has a tube-like shape with a gold anf green lotus flower and leaf as well as silver flowing water beneath it.
