Vintage Japanese Bamboo Basket

This is a vintage Japanese bamboo basket. Sometimes called morikago, a multipurpose basket typically found on tables and countertops, this piece is commonly used to hold seasonal fruits as the spaces between the woven bands of bamboo allow air to pass through.
Woven with fine strips of bamboo in a medium brown color, this beautiful little square-bottomed basket is the perfect for display, storage, and even a decorative holder for a small planter pot or ikebana arrangement.
