Vintage Japanese Bamboo Basket

This is a vintage Japanese bamboo basket. Sometimes called morikago, a multipurpose basket typically found on tables and countertops, this piece is commonly used to hold seasonal fruits as the spaces between the woven bands of bamboo allow air to pass through.
Woven with fine strips of bamboo in the hexagonal mutsume-ami style (also called Shaker), this beautiful little shallow oval basket is the perfect addition to any home or office decor.

• Good condition considering age. Some very light breakage/fraying of bamboo strips (no structural damage). Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
