Vtg Japanese Awaji-Musubi Mizuhiki Ceremonial Knot Set

This item is a set of three ceremonial awaji-musubi knots in silver. These mizuhiki knots are commonly seen on gifts in numerous circumstances, such as funerals, weddings, and other congratulatory moments. Awaji-musubi style in particular is meant for one-time occasions. Silver (like these), black, and or white are universally used only for funerals with some regional differences. The tails of the knot are typically faced upward. They are made of stiff washi paper cord.
