Japanese Hanging Scroll Weights Fuchin

This is a pair of Japanese hanging scroll (kakejiku) weights, or fuchin. Fuchin is a decoration that hangs on both ends of the bottom of a hanging scroll. It’s a decoration as well as weighing the scroll down to keep it straight and keep it steady in a breeze.
This item features natural agate stones in an egg or oblong shape with a layered and banded pattern that includes touches of brown, beige, orange, and gray. It has chocolatey brown tassels with a gold accent underlayer at the head.
