Vtg Japanese Buddhist Altar Fitting Scroll

This Japanese vintage silk and paper hanging scroll represents Amidabutsu, the principal Buddha of the Jodo Shinshu school. This scroll is an icon displayed in Japanese Buddhist home altars, Butsudan. It is a powerful religious image, aimed to be at the center of an altar. This honzon is blue and red with a golden floral pattern. The icon is yellow, blue, green, gold, and beige. This item has inscriptions on the back.

• Good condition considering age. Hanging string is broken and missing. Wrapped. Some damage to the paper (icon). Red silk part is coming off (bottom right corner). Stains on back. Wear and tear due to use. Please see the photos.
