Japanese Lacquerware Lidded box Fumibako Gobunshobako
This is a Japanese wooden letter box, Ofumibako. It is one of the Buddhist altar items. Put a letter in the box written by Rennyo Shonin of Hongwanji Temple. There is a drawer at the bottom of the Buddhist altar stored box inside. If it doesn’t fit, leave it next to the Buddhist altar. The family crests are painted in gold.
