Antique Japanese Pottery Sake Bottle Kayoi-Tokkuri
This is an antique Japanese ceramic sake bottle. It is called a Kayoi-Tokkuri and is used to pour sake. The commuting sake bottle became popular as a rental container for liquor stores in the Edo period when sake began to be consumed daily. This gray bottle has black characters. It has a bung, though it’s not an original one; resin covers a cork and metal parts top it.
