Antique Japanese Pottery Sake Bottle Kayoi-Tokkuri 

This is an antique Japanese ceramic sake bottle. It is called a Kayoi-Tokkuri and is used to pour sake. The commuting sake bottle became popular as a rental container for liquor stores in the Edo period when sake began to be consumed daily. This gray bottle has black characters.

• Approx. 13.5 cm wide x 26 cm tall
• Good condition considering age. Glaze imperfections from production. Slightly wobbly. Chip on the rim. Surface crack.  Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
