Antique Japanese Wooden Masu Bucket

This traditional Japanese rice bucket, Masu or Ittomasu, was once used for measuring and storing units of rice (about 18L). Sturdy hardwood with iron holding it together, this bucket has two handles typically found on most masu.

• Approx. 38 cm long x 32 cm wide x 32 cm tall
• Fair condition considering its age. Insect damage on the wood (especially the bottom part). Lot of rust. Some of the metal is missing. Metal is coming off. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
