It is an \u003cem\u003eema\u003c\/em\u003e plaque to commemorate the \u003cem\u003ehatsu mairi\u003c\/em\u003e, the first visit to a shrine for newborns. At the back, there are spaces to write the date of the visit, the birth date, the people accompanying, the name and the address of the person visiting the shrine.
