Japanese Wooden Kokeshi Doll Figurine
This vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi doll figurine represents a tengu, a Japanese yokai (supernatural being), with its characteristic red face and long nose. This tengu has pink, white and black details on its face, and has a yellow and black body. The face can be moved in a specific direction. The tengu is standing at the right side of a geta-shaped bamboo stand. A Japanese pine tree matsu and a small sign with inscriptions are also attached to the geta-shaped base.
