It is made with thin, translucent blue paper on a bamboo frame. The image on all sides depicts pine trees and men in boat on the sea. It has a series of hanging white tassels with beads throughout. This unique lantern is meant to hang from a lightbulb underneath a lampshade (as shown on the cover of the box). To protect the wood and paper from the heat of the bulb, it is held on by metal coils.
