It is coated with gold, orange, brown, and black lacquer. The edges are decorated with intricate floral patterned bronze metal. The top showcases a unique multi-layer lacquer technique called \u003cem\u003ewakasa nuri\u003c\/em\u003e, a varied decorative style originating in Fukui Prefecture.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan size=\"5\"\u003eIn the case of memorial services, a piece of cloth called \u003cem\u003eUchishiki\u003c\/em\u003e is inserted here. There are two types of offering tables Maejyoku and Uwajyoku. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan size=\"5\"\u003eMaejoku is placed in front of the Shumidan. It is used for 3 Gusoku (candle stand, flower vase, and incense burner). \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan size=\"5\"\u003eUwajoku is placed in front of Amidanyorai.
