It is wood coated in a glossy black lacquer with gold-painted accents. On the front side has carved chrysanthemums painted gold. It contains a removable, winged top panel with gold on the front edge with red on the top. The bottom base is also removable.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan size=\"5\"\u003eIn the case of memorial services, a piece of cloth called \u003cem\u003eUchishiki\u003c\/em\u003e is inserted between the base and top piece. There are two types of offering tables Maejoku and Uwajoku. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan size=\"5\"\u003eMaejoku is placed in front of the Shumidan. It is used for 3 Gusoku (candle stand, flower vase, and incense burner). \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan size=\"5\"\u003eUwajoku is placed in front of Amidanyorai.
