Japanese Wooden Kokeshi Doll

This vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi figurine represents a bird. This kokeshi is in fact a functional whistle, but it can stand on its own. The bird part is painted in red and has eyes. There is an inscription on one side: Hakone.
