Vintage Japanese Wooden Serving Tray Obon w/Box

This is a vintage wooden serving tray, or obon. It is round with a raised edge. The tray is brown and has a smooth texture.  It features a natural wooden grain under the lacquer, as well as Kashokubiki, carved rings on the inside and whirls on the bottom. There is an inscription on the bottom.  It comes with the original paper box.
Obon (serving trays) are typically used for serving drinks and snacks to guests in one’s home, business, etc. They provide both function and beautiful decor.
