Vintage Japanese Paper Uchiwa Fan

This is a Japanese vintage paper fan or Uchiwa. An uchiwa is a traditional fan tool typically made of wood or bamboo and paper in a flat paddle-like shape. This particular fan features a print of vibrant purple iris flowers in full bloom with buds and bright green leaves. There is a red stamp on the back. It has a carved wooden handle.
